Ansys OptiSLang

Ansys optiSLang is recognized for its powerful capabilities within process automation, optimization and robust evaluation algorithms. It includes various tools for sensitivity analysis, design exploration and optimization including surrogate modelling, response surface modelling and evolutionary algorithms.

Process Integration and Design Optimization

Simulation processes often involve many manual steps, such as updating spreadsheets, copying files, and running scripts, which can introduce errors and risks into the design process. Ansys optiSlang’s process integration and design optimization capabilities minimize these risks by automating the workflow of all components, which can be executed locally, on a cluster, or in the cloud. Workflows can also be published on a webserver, making them accessible to anyone with access.

Ansys optiSlang also offers powerful design exploration and sensitivity analysis, enabling engineers to understand the most critical aspects of their designs. The surrogate modelling approach is unique and provides an easy way to evaluate the quality of the model. These techniques put optimization and robustness evaluation in the hands of the user.

Benefits

Improve Performance and Efficiency

Vector

When using the Digital Lab in the design process, Ansys optiSLang can help optimize a product and e.g. improve performance and efficiency. Hence, leading to e.g. advantages towards competitors, less waste and reduce energy consumption.

Less Warranty Complaints

Vector

Robust evaluation can investigate manufacturing tolerances and their impact on failure. This allows targeting the most important tolerances for product functioning and assessing them over others. Robust products lead to fewer warranty complaints by consumers.

Reduced Manual Time Required

Vector

In addition, by adopting to automated processes less manual time is needed in the design loop. By reducing the time and effort required the time to market can be shortened

Case Study

Maximizing Performance while Minimizing Cost and Climate Impact

Ansys optiSLang enables a simulation of loads based on fast and cost-effective measurable signals for an efficient assessment of changes to the motor configuration without the repetition of expensive tests.

Klas Johansson

Business Development Manager

I have been working with Ansys CFD over the past 20 years and followed the development of the tools we use on a daily basis. My focus has been mainly on CFX and Fluent and the different flavors of tools in the Ansys portfolio for pre- and post processing.

Over the years the focus has shifted from working primarily in the support team to the presales team, supporting the sales process. The sales process is also developing rapidly and instead of purely focusing on specific tools I promote the full portfolio of products that we utilize to assist the whole product development process.
