The opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Account Manager to cover the North of England. This exciting, fast paced role, will see the successful candidate maximising sales profitability, growth and account penetration. Performing general sales activities, including establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with customers new and old, ensuring renewals and generating new business. The post holder will successfully work with customers, seeking to uncover and understand their pain points, identifying and promoting products and services based solutions in order to meet and exceed revenue objectives. The role will include:
- Selling Ansys products and services over the phone as well as face-to-face,
- clearly presenting the value of products and services through metrics and proof point while tying to the customer’s needs and differentiating from the competition,
- creating and maintaining account plans for existing customers, highlighting profile, share and value opportunities,
- research sources for developing prospective customers or expanding to new groups within existing customers and for information to determine their potential,
- developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers,
- coordinating sales effort with marketing, technical, sales management, finance, legal and technical service teams,
- providing accurate forecast for new sales and renewal revenues,
- participating in trade shows and exhibitions, scheduling seminars to enhance new business opportunities.
What we’re looking for
The Account Executive is a driven, experienced sales person with an interest in selling high-end simulation tools to the Engineering Sector. The successful person must have a passion for engineering, with an engineering degree and strong knowledge or appreciation of CAE or CAD. The post-holder will be:
- Highly experienced in a sales or customer facing role, ideally in software sales into engineering companies,
- experienced in engineering simulation, ideally using the Ansys suite of products
- committed to their ongoing personal development, willing to learn and have the curiosity to seek out knowledge to enable success within the role
- an exceptionally strong team player
- an enthusiastic and energetic self-starter, with the proactivity and desire to succeed within their role and for the company
- willing to travel to customer locations, user conferences, shows and events
