Yesterday we welcomed 5-grade master students from Chalmers University of Technology for lunch and an award ceremony.As a part of the University’s 'Engineering Design and Optimization' course, the students were engaged in a topology optimization challenge where they started from a sketch design and then developed a rough CAD model within a given design space.

As a part of the University’s ‘Engineering Design and Optimization’ course, the students were engaged in a topology optimization challenge where they started from a sketch design and then developed a rough CAD model within a given design space. Design iterations were then carried out using Ansys topology optimization software for a given load case. The chosen designs were then 3D printed and tested in a physical test rigg.
