Jani Ojala appointed as the new Group CEO at EDRMedeso

The EDRMedeso Board of Directors has appointed M.Sc. Jani Ojala (44) as the new Group CEO starting Jan 1st 2022. Jani Ojala currently acts as Country Manager for EDRMedeso subsidiaries in Finland and Sweden.
Earlier this year, Niklas Lindwall, decided that he wanted to step down after 6 years as CEO, at the end of 2021. Having conducted a detailed review, the company’s board is very pleased that Jani has accepted the CEO-position. Many exciting things are happening in our industry, and we have great ambitions to further develop the company and ensure that EDRMedeso is competitive, creating more value for our customers and shareholders and being an attractive workplace for our employees.
“I am confident that Jani Ojala is an experienced commercial leader with the right vision, energy, leadership capability, competence and background needed to lift the company further, and that the board, within the company, have found a very skilled and exciting new leader”, says John Nyheim, Chairman of the Board of EDRMedeso.
Both Jani Ojala and the board are very pleased to announce that Niklas Lindwall will remain with the company, where he will take on the leadership of the BuildingPoint business.
Jani has had various positions in sales, sales management and regional leadership during his almost 11 years career at EDRMedeso. He holds 15 years of experience in simulation software industry and has extensive knowledge of the market, customer challenges and simulation technologies together. He also has more than 10 years of leadership experience.
“I am very excited about this new opportunity. EDRMedeso has an ambitious vision for 2025 and beyond! We are in the spotlight for the digitalization and sustainability journey of our customers, our employees have world-class talent and we have game changing technology in our hands. My role will be to lead the company in realizing our new vision and achieving the financial targets agreed with the board.
