Based on the outskirts of Sheffield at the Advanced Manufacturing Park, EDRMedeso UK is an Apex
Channel Partner for Ansys software in the UK. Part of a larger group with offices in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland, EDRMedeso is responsible for sales, consultancy, and account management of Ansys software in Northern Europe. The opportunity
This exciting role will play a key role in groupwide HR projects along with generalist HR support within the UK team. The role reports into our CPO, and works closely with HR Specialist, both based in our Tampere office in Finland. The role will include group tasks and projects such as:
administering the HRIS, ensuring employee records and contracts are up to date,
coordination of recruitment activities across the whole group,
development and management of the onboarding and offboarding processes across the group,
coordination of our Great Place to Work™ process, including administration of surveys, communication of results and organisation of local Great Place to Work™ workshops, and working in collaboration with the EDRMedeso HR team, on groupwide HR projects and initiatives.
And UK specific activities including:
- keeping up to date with UK employment law and legislation, ensuring policies and procedures are up to date and communicated effectively
- development and implementation of new policies and procedures where required
- general administration of formal correspondence to employees such as offer letters, employment contracts, leaver documents, changes to terms and conditions etc.
- leading on reward & recognition for the UK team, including administration of benefit schemes
- coordination of Learning & Development activities
- providing HR support and advice to managers and employees on matters such as absence management, maternity & other family leave, performance management etc.
- there will also be an element of general office management and supporting the local country leader with projects
What we are looking for
A passionate, pro-active, and driven HR professional looking to make a real impact whilst building on and developing their skills and knowledge. The post-holder will:
- hold a minimum CIPD Level 3, with willingness to work towards Level 5
- have experience working within a busy HR department
- have good up to date knowledge and experience of HR including employee relations, employment law, EDI, recruitment and HR policy and practice
- be a fantastic communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with all levels and across countries
- be skilled at coordination and driving forward activity
- have the confidence and ability to take ownership for delivery of HR projects
- enjoy working with a wide variety of tasks and projects
- be a champion for Wellbeing in the workplace
- experience of HRIS would be advantageous, including administration of systems
