Trusting that the results are true and reliable, while also keeping the simulation times at a manageable level, are some fundamental concerns when performing an FEA. These matters can be closely tied to the mesh of the model, with a good quality and well-balanced sizing of the mesh ensuring a good foundation for the upcoming analysis.

In 2024R1 Ansys released a new paradigm tool within meshing, called the “Mesh Workflows”. This tool has been continuously updated and now holds the capacity of producing automated yet flexible mesh workflows for simulation models within the fields of NVH and electronics, or any other field with the newly introduced and user controlled “Custom Mesh Workflow”.

In this webinar, an introduction will be given to the concept of the Mesh Workflows, together with a demonstration of a Custom workflow in 25R2 to showcase the user interface and the capability of creating a more automated and structured meshing procedure.
