Transform Antenna Teaching with Python: A Quick Start to PyAEDT

Today’s engineering practice requires skills in scripting, finite element analysis of designs, and a combination of both. By teaching this combination, you can engage your antenna students effectively. PyAEDT, part of the broader PyAnsys initiative, simplifies the scripting process by allowing direct interaction with Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT). This introductory webinar targets professors who want to integrate PyAEDT into their teaching.
We will begin by reviewing the key features of PyAEDT and guide you through setting up your Python environment to connect with AEDT. You will see practical examples for HFSS, Maxwell, and Icepak. Focusing on antenna lessons, we will detail cases, such as designing a dipole antenna with its matching network using Python commands. We will also describe more advanced simulation-programming scenarios, including electro-thermal analysis and other types of antennas.
