Cloud HPC Benchmark for Ansys Mechanical Simulations

This benchmark compares traditional on-premise hardware with EDRMedeso CloudConnect for Ansys Mechanical simulations. The study evaluated simulation performance across a CAD workstation, a high-performance desktop and multiple cloud computing configurations using a static structural analysis model with more than 500,000 nodes.

The results showed that CloudConnect delivered performance comparable to or better than on-premise hardware while allowing engineers to continue working during simulations. The benchmark also demonstrated the ability to solve larger models efficiently, scale computing resources on demand and avoid the maintenance and investment costs associated with dedicated simulation hardware.
