Ansys Student Team Meeting Nordic 2026
The Ansys Student Team program supports university student teams working on engineering competitions and projects.
Whether you already use simulation in your team or are just getting started, the workshop day is designed around practical engineering challenges relevant to student teams.
During the day, we’ll show you how simulation can enhance every aspect of your work, whether you’re working on:
Structural challenges
Fluid dynamics
Electrification
Our expert-led, hands-on sessions will equip you to:
Improve performance
Test design ideas faster
Make smarter, simulation-backed decisions
Explore structural analysis and optimisation with Ansys Mechanical and related tools.
Structural Analysis
Key FEA topics including mesh generation, material properties, and strength and fatigue validation of structural parts.
Composite Design and Analysis
Using Ansys Composite PrepPost (ACP) for fibre orientation, lay-up definition and FEA analysis of fibre-reinforced composites.
Topology Optimization
Advanced optimisation techniques for designing lighter, stronger and more efficient structures while considering different manufacturing processes.
If you select Structures, you can also indicate which two sessions you are most interested in when registering.
Explore how computational fluid dynamics can support the design and development of your team’s vehicle or product.
The sessions will focus on practical CFD challenges relevant to student engineering teams, with opportunities to work hands-on and discuss your own engineering questions with our experts.
Explore electric-machine and electromagnetic simulation, including topics and tools such as Ansys Motor-CAD and Ansys Maxwell.
The sessions will focus on practical electronics and electrification challenges relevant to student engineering teams.
This event isn’t just about learning simulation skills; it’s a chance to build lasting relationships, collaborate across disciplines, and be part of a vibrant student engineering community in the Northern Europe.

Lunch will be provided.
The lunch programme is also planned to include the opportunity to explore two Volvo Group trucks on site:
Volvo Group representatives will be available to introduce the vehicles and answer questions.
Lunch timing may vary slightly between workshop tracks.
14:00–17:00 | Technical Workshops Continue
Continue with hands-on sessions and simulation deep dives across the three workshop tracks.

Chalmers Formula Student Team: Using Ansys to excel in global competitions
The team develops 97 % of the car in-house including mechanical design and manufacturing, electronics and high voltage, aerodynamics and autonomous systems.

Famous for Volvo, magical archipelago islands and world class seafood, Gothenburg is the largest non-capital in the Nordics and located on the beautiful west coast of Sweden.
If you are a Chalmers student with access to a Chalmers computer and login, you can use the available Chalmers setup during the workshops.
Please bring your own laptop for the hands-on workshops.
