PowerizeD Project – Driving Innovation in Digitalized Power Electronics

The PowerizeD project is a major European research initiative focused on advancing digitalized and intelligent power electronics for more efficient and sustainable energy systems. By integrating advanced control, digital twins, and simulation-driven development, the project aims to reduce power losses by up to 25%, extend device lifetime, and accelerate the design of next-generation power electronics. At EDRMedeso, simulation and multiphysics modeling play a key role in enabling smarter, more reliable power electronics for applications across energy, mobility, and industry.

EDRMedeso Contributes to Norway’s New NorthWind Wind Power Research Centre

Norway is strengthening its position in offshore wind and renewable energy innovation with the launch of the NorthWind research centre, a major initiative backed by NOK 120 million in funding from the Norwegian government. Bringing together more than 50 partners from research institutions and industry, the centre focuses on developing technologies that make wind power more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable.
